Edwards FCU's  EMV Chip Visa® Debit Cards


 Call 866-985-2273 to activate your new debit card, beginning March 30th.  For any non-EMV chip cards that need to be activated, members should follow the instructions found on the sticker located on the front of the card.  All non-EMV debit cards will expire on June 30, 2016.



Update your auto payments with your new Visa debit card number.

Bill Pay- Update your Bill Pay account with your new debit card number.  Remember to notify any vendors with recurring payments such as your gym or home utilities.
Auto Pay EFCU Accounts- We'll automatically transfer your existing automatic payments from your Edwards FCU savings or checking account.
Online Payments- If you have any automatic payments that use your debit card information, be sure to update it with your new card number and expiration date.


The process for making purchases at chip-activated terminals is slightly different than before, though can still swipe it at non chip-activated terminals. 

  1. Insert the card into the terminal; chip end first; face up.
  2. Keep the card in the terminal for the length of the transaction.
  3. Complete the transaction as you would normally. Sign or enter your PIN.
  4. Take your card. Your transaction is complete!



Q: Will I have to pay any fees to use my chip-enabled Edwards FCU Visa debit card?

A: There are no new fees to use your new Edwards FCU Visa debit card.

Q: Will I be getting a new Personal Identification Number (PIN)?

A: No, your current PIN will work on your new card. Members desiring a new PIN can request one by calling 661-952 5945. New PINs may also be request via the Online Banking Platform at

Q: What happens to transactions made on my current Edwards FCU Visa debit card?

A: They will automatically transfer to your new Edwards FCU Visa debit card. This includes payments, credits and purchase transactions.

Q: Am I still protected by Visa's Zero Liability policy?

A: Yes. If your new Edwards FCU Visa debit card is lost or stolen, you are covered by Visa's Zero Liability policy.  This means you are protected against unauthorized use.
