Edwards FCU – February Newsletter

Last updated: February 12, 2025

Dear Valued Member,

As we step into February, a month that reminds us of the importance of appreciation and connection, we want to take a moment to say thank you. At Edwards Federal Credit Union, our members are at the heart of everything we do, and this month, we’re showing our love by continuing to provide financial solutions, community engagement, and opportunities to help you thrive.

This month, our financial wellness focus is “Navigating Risks and Opportunities: Unlocking Your Financial Potential.” Understanding how to make informed financial decisions, balance risk, and seize opportunities can have a lasting impact on your financial future. We’re here to provide the tools, resources, and support to help you stay on the path to success.

We are also excited to continue recruiting for our new Volunteer Task Force! This initiative gives our members a unique way to connect with the Antelope Valley community while representing Edwards FCU. Volunteers will help welcome visitors to our booths, distribute information (and candy!), and share their own experiences with our credit union. If you’d like to be part of this meaningful and fun opportunity, email Aura at aaguirre@edwardsfcu.org to sign up—we’d love to have you join us!

In other exciting news, we’re happy to introduce a Principal-Only Payment option for our loan holders. This new feature allows you to make payments that go directly toward reducing your loan’s principal balance, helping you pay off your loan faster and reduce the total interest paid over time. We’re always looking for ways to provide greater financial flexibility and savings for our members, and we’re thrilled to offer this new benefit.

At Edwards Federal Credit Union, our mission is to support your financial wellness and help you achieve your dreams. We are grateful for the trust you place in us and proud to serve such an incredible community. I look forward to another year of working together to build a brighter financial future. Thank you for being part of our credit union family!

Warm regards,

Carter Pope

December’s Member Testimonial Highlights

Quick, easy customer service, even though I’m out of stateRyan was absolutely incredibly helpful with my situation I was having with the bank. I was nervous about a wire and he calmed me down and he  has great professional customer service.
Thank you so much.”

My account was somehow compromised right before the holidays and EFCU immediately flagged my bank card so the charges would not go through. I am very pleased and grateful to them. I brought in a personal check to have cashed because of this fraudulent activity by scammers and they cashed it to me no problems no headache. They have sent me invitations and even virtual holiday cards. Thank you to Edwards for helping out the community.

Principal Only Payment Options Now Available!

Edwards now offers members the option to make “Principal Only Payments” on their loans. This allows our members the ability to reduce the amount of the loan itself, which can help to shorten the loan term and reduce the total interest paid over time.
