Call from our Fraud Department

Recently, we’ve also noticed an increase in fraudulent calls impersonating our institution’s fraud department. These calls may request sensitive information, such as your social security number, under false pretenses. We want to ensure that you’re equipped to handle these situations with caution and vigilance to protect your personal information.

  • Verification Process: Our legitimate fraud department representatives will always have specific information about your account or recent transactions. They will not ask you to provide your full social security number or other sensitive information outright.
  • Caller ID: While scammers may attempt to manipulate caller ID to appear as though the call is coming from our institution, please note that this is not always a reliable indicator of authenticity.
  • Caution with Sharing Information: Avoid sharing sensitive information, such as your social security number, over the phone unless you are absolutely certain of the caller’s identity. If in doubt, hang up and call EdwardsFCU directly at 661-952-5945 to verify the legitimacy of the call.
  • Report Suspicious Activity: If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from our fraud department, please report it to us immediately. Your vigilance helps us protect you and other members from potential scams.

Your security is our utmost priority, and we are committed to safeguarding your personal information. If you have any concerns or questions regarding this matter, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
